A husky wagon ride excursion in Longyearbyen, Svalbard

From the ship, we’ll make the 20-minute journey to meet our local guide. You can then help the guide to harness the huskies to your wagon, so the real fun can begin. In an instant, the dogs fall into a focused and serene rhythm, pulling the wagon effortlessly as you immerse yourself in the breathtaking coastal landscape, heading toward Bjørndalen.

As we journey through the pristine wilderness, keep your eyes peeled for reindeer, Arctic foxes, grouse, seals, and perhaps even walruses or whales. Summer often brings sightings of large pods of belugas off Vestpynten. The skies are equally alive with birdlife, including little auks, Arctic terns, and Arctic skuas. On clear days, the views over Isfjord’s colossal glaciers are nothing short of breathtaking.

After 90 minutes of driving, we’ll head over to Greendog’s kennel in Adventdalen where we can relax in a cozy log cabin. Savor a hot drink and bask in the warmth of the moment, all while relishing the company of Greendog’s newest litter of adorable puppies.

Excursion is subject to a minimum number of participants.
