Accessibility Statement for Hurtigruten.com

Last updated: 25 June 2025
At Hurtigruten, we believe exploring the world should be for everyone. That includes our digital spaces.
We’re committed to making our website, apps, and online services accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of ability, technology, or situation.
What We're Doing
The European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) (collectively, the “Accessibility Requirements”) defines guidelines for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities.
Hurtigruten aims to provide full and equal enjoyment of our website for all our users. We work hard to ensure our digital experiences are easy to use and we have designed our site to our good faith understanding of the Accessibility Requirements.
Here’s what that means in practice:
You can navigate most of our site using just a keyboard.
We use clear structure, readable text, and meaningful link names.
Images include descriptive alt text where needed.
Forms, buttons, and menus are designed to be screen reader friendly.
We regularly review our site with accessibility tools and real users to find and fix problems.
Where We're Improving
We know there’s still work to do. Some older content and third-party features like maps or booking filters might not be fully accessible yet.
But we’re on it. Accessibility is part of our ongoing digital development.
